Experiments with Live The Night Twice follow below. The live version of the song uses the archaic Yamaha drum machine (set on Calypso setting #79). Once this was recorded into Logic, the song could be matched to a grid at a tempo of 158.428bpm. At the close of the session, we were dragging in samples from Brian's dictaphone recordings of a toy glockenspiel, and pitch-shifting them into tune with the bass. Time will tell whether these experiments are useful or not.
