In the past, too many projects have jumped the starting gun, and begun before there has been a full appraisal of what needs to be done. With Loss, I've gone through all our recordings to date - none of which I can count as finished - and worked out what needs to be done to each piece.
This has also allowed me to indulge in my predilection of making vast, intricate lists (pictured).
I'm most excited about the recent stuff; it has an economy and abrasiveness that speaks for itself. My mixing will need to be as transparent as possible to ensure it's delivered to the listener as intended.
